Most Important Aspect
Its
story time again.
We
all know the name of the Arjuna, one among the Pandavas and expert archer. Pandavas
and Kauravas were going through the lessons of archery in gurukul from their
guru, the great Dronacharya. One day the Guru called his disciples, one by one
with the bow and arrow. He asked a question to each one of them, “Tell me, what
you can see in front of your arrow?”
There
were different answers. The one said, “Guruji, I can see sky, clouds, trees,
etc.” The other said, “Guruji, in front of my arrow I can see tree, leaves and
bird.” Then came Arjuna and said, “Guruji, I can see the bird’s eye.”
Guruji
was pleased with his answer. The most important quality in archery is Focus.
What’s
the reason for this story?
Many
times we find that we don’t get the expected results from our efforts. We spend
hours working on projects but still can’t reach our desired destiny. Students
spend lot of time with books, but lastly are not satisfied with the marks in
the result sheet.
Did
you ever think why you don’t get the expected result in spite of spending long
struggling hours? What mistake you
exactly do?
The
most important aspect required before you start your path is FOCUS.
Your
final destination must be clearly visible to your wide open eyes before you
start counting your efforts.
The
common experience which I come across every year is.... In the month of June,
at the beginning of the academic year, if anyone asks the student of std.10th,
what are the percentage you want to see in you final marks card? We find most
of them are blank; few give a sweet funny smile while very few are able to tell
the approximate percentage.
Later
they spend short and long hours on their studies till their final exam. Finally
they get their marks card in their hand. But are they all happy with what they
see in their result sheet?
What’s
the reason for this? It’s nothing but lack of Focus. What the student think of?
....... The syllabus, big books, answers, exam timetable, questions papers and
such aspects. For what they do all this? .....final percentage. And here
exactly is the secret of their success.
Right
from the first day of your std.10th, be focused. Let me make it
simple for you. Be clear of your final result. No need to judge yourself much.
Just make a big picture of your final percentage in your mind. Keep it bright
at your heart.
No
need to bother much about the other things around you. Once you focus on your
decided percentage, the journey is automatically set for you. Bother about your
final exam paper, worries about your syllabus will no more be your distraction.
The only thing you have to do is BE
FOCUSSED. Just like the focus of Arjuna on the bird’s eye. Rest all will be
done.
